Door Installation — Austin Lake Hills, Austin, TX
Mi · Entry Door
Cupcake replaced 14 windows and my front door. Every detail on the install was discussed during the initial consultation and throughout the ordering process. They advised on different window styles that matched the house (we switched out some sash windows for picture windows and frosted the glass in the bathroom).
Their “no payment until complete” concept was super attractive to me since I have been burned by contractors before.
The quality of the workmanship was exemplary and communication by the project manager and cupcake team along the way was outstanding!
The original single front door was replaced with one that had sidelights, so the opening need to be widened and that meant a new larger header along with additional jack studs, followed by a new threshold step, new exterior stone work, new interior drywall, baseboard, texture, and paint. Oh and the light switch and outside light both needed to be moved. So not an easy project.
We did have one challenge with door trim that came damaged from the factory, that was nothing to do with Cupcake, but they sorted it out. it cost them a delay in payment but they took it in their stride.
All in all, I couldn’t be happier with the project and outcome! I will go to them first for future household projects!

- I had a very good experience with the entire Cupcake … More team. I have had very bad experiences with two other window companies, so I was extremely pleased with the price. The quality the Customer Service.

Cupcake for exceeded our expectations on everything. Their price was less than half of anyone else !! The windows we selected are the best, nitrogen purged, argon filled & then sealed. No more condensation. The true UV filter is a silver micro screen you can't see but blocks 95% of UV. Much better than a simple tint that does nothing for UV. The installation was something to experience. The crew was simply amazing, the guys were always smiling, knew what each other was doing so things went very quickly. Always on time, they crushed it !! What a great experience, and at a price that is really hard to believe - What a great company. All the staff were friendly … More and knowledgeable. The installation crew of Anthony, Junior, and Sam, were very great to have in our home. They took great care in protecting our home and cleaning up as they went. Our dogs loved having them around.
